He was born in Ankara in 1955. After graduation from his primary, secondary and high school education at TED Ankara College, he attended to and attained his architecture undergraduate diploma from Ankara State Engineering and Architecture Academy (ASEAA), Faculty of Architecture in 1978. In 1980, he completed his postgraduate studies and graduated from İstanbul Technical University Faculty of Architecture, Department of Architectural Design. He worked as an architect at Yıldırım Sağlıkova and Tamay Sütmen Architecture Offices during 1978 – 1980. Then, during 1980 – 1982, he was employed as an architect at İstanbul Technical University, Faculty of Architecture, Floating Capital Administration, Office of Architecture. He fulfilled the duty of İstanbul Technical University Faculty of Architecture, Environment Analysis and Industrialized Building Design Chair as assistant of the academic member during 1980 – 1988 and engaged with various academic activities. Kenan Geyran established Geyran Architecture Workshop Co. Ltd. in 1988. He produced projects for industrial buildings, residence buildings, fair stands, Office buildings, health care and pharmaceutical facilities. He took an active part in project design, implementation, consultancy and construction management activities during the stage of establishment of numerous health care institutions and gain experience on hospital buildings.
Kenan Geyran is a registered member of TMMOB Chamber of Architects. His projects and professional studies and articles are published in various bulletins. Kenan Geyran was awarded with Building Industry Center Architectural Design Award 2008 with his Akfırat Municipality Building project.
Kenan Geyran maintains his professional studies at Geyran Architecture Workshop Co. Ltd. since 1988.
