The subject of the hospital project is an investment on Oncology Hospital with 200 inpatient bed availability. The health care facility to be realized by Governoship of Antalya will serve under Akdeniz University Chancery. The subject of the hospital investment, that is the construction of Akdeniz University Faculty of Medicine Oncology Hospital, which is completely a new investment, is planned to be realized at the building site serving as the Faculty of Medicine Hospital within Akdeniz University Campus and the land surrounding this building.
The functional content of the Oncology Hospital requirement program is as follows; Administrative Units (Academic Units, Academic Secretariats), Pediatric Oncology Departments (Pediatric Hematology, Pediatric Oncology), Adult Oncology Departments (Adult Hematology, Adult Oncology), Chief Physician Office (Patient Services, Accounting Services, Social Services, Data Recording and Data Processing Department, Personnel Affairs Department, Support Services), Polyclinics (Pediatric Hematology Polyclinic, Bone Marrow Transplantation Polyclinic, Microscopy room, Bone Marrow Bank, Mature Hematology, Mature Oncology), Inpatient Units (Mature Intensive Care Unit, Mature Terminal Period Patient Unit, Pediatric Hematology – Oncology, Bone Marrow Transplantation Unit, Mature Hematology, Mature Oncology), Treatment Units (Pediatric Chemotherapy, Mature Chemotherapy), Laboratories (Pediatric Hematology Routine and Research Laboratory, Mature Hematology Routine and Research Laboratory – Flow, Apheresis Unit, Blood Laboratory, Medication Preparation, Pharmacy), Library and Internet Center, Classrooms (Student Amphitheater, Classrooms for Small Student Groups), Meeting and Congress Center, cafeteria, mess hall, lounges, recreational areas for patients and families (playground, indoors playground, hospital school, family group rooms), İmaging Center (X-Ray, M.R., Tomography, Usg, PET/BT, Scintigraphy)
Oncology Hospital project start – up date is December 2008 and is delivered as conceptual project in January 2009. The Oncology Hospital covers total of 20.000 m² area and planned to be constructed as reinforced concrete carcass building.
All hospital projects carried out under the structure of Geyran Architecture Workshop Co. Ltd fulfill the requirements of “Regulation on Fire Protection of the Buildings”, “Regulation on Private Hospitals” and all other relevant regulations. The requirements of the relevant regulations on private hospital designs are strictly adhered to.
